Terms of Service
Last updated September 22, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Shear Ventures LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"), which operates WeBet at webet.cash. By creating an account or using WeBet you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use WeBet.
1. What WeBet is
WeBet is a tool for a group of friends to build a parlay together and place it as a single bet. The bet itself is placed on Overtime, an independent on-chain protocol running on the Arbitrum blockchain. Overtime sets the prices, decides whether to accept a bet, settles the result, and pays the winnings.
We are not a bookmaker, a sportsbook, an exchange, a broker, a bank or a money transmitter. We never take the other side of your bet, we hold no book, and we do not hold your money. WeBet is software that helps your group agree on picks and submit them.
2. Who may use it
WeBet is not available to people in the United States.
Bets are placed on Overtime, and Overtime's own terms prohibit use from the United States and its territories, Belarus, Burma, China, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, North Korea, Sudan, Syria and Zimbabwe. Those are prohibited jurisdictions for WeBet too. Using a VPN, a proxy, or any other means of disguising where you are does not change that, and doing so is a breach of these terms.
You may use WeBet only if all of the following are true.
- You are not located in, resident in, or a citizen of a prohibited jurisdiction.
- You are at least 18, and at least the minimum age for this kind of activity where you live.
- Betting of this kind is lawful for you where you are.
- You are acting for yourself, not for anyone else, and not on behalf of a business.
- You are not on a sanctions list, and you are not in a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions.
- You are not excluded from betting by a self-exclusion programme, a court, or an operator ban.
The rules on this kind of betting differ from place to place and they change. Working out whether it is lawful for you is your responsibility, not ours. If it is not lawful where you are, do not use WeBet. We may block access from a place where we believe it is not permitted, we may ask you where you are, and we may close an account that we believe is in a prohibited jurisdiction.
3. Your account
You sign in with your email through our login provider, which also creates the wallet your money sits in. One person, one account. Keep access to your email and your device to yourself: anyone who can sign in can move your money. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got in. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we believe is being used unlawfully, or that matches a sanctions list.
4. Money
Your balance is held in a wallet tied to your login, not in an account we control. A group pot is a wallet controlled by the member who created the group. We cannot move your money except through the actions you take in the app, and you can withdraw to any wallet you choose at any time.
- Money comes in through licensed third-party providers. They verify your identity, take your payment, and deliver dollars to your wallet under their own terms. Their limits, checks and fees are theirs, not ours.
- We do not accept cash, and we never take fiat currency from you directly.
- Money you put into a group pot is at the group's disposal, not just yours. Anyone in the group may be able to send the slip, and the pot pays the stake. Only put in what you are content to have staked.
- Everything settles on a public blockchain and is final. A transaction that has been sent cannot be reversed, by you or by us, and a payment sent to a wrong address cannot be recovered.
5. Bets
- Odds shown in the app come from Overtime and move constantly. What a slip pays is fixed at the moment it is accepted, not when you added a pick.
- A slip may be sent by the group admin, by any member where the group has allowed it, or automatically just before the first game starts. Once it is sent it cannot be cancelled, edited or cashed out.
- Overtime can decline a bet, pause a market, move a line, or limit how much it will take. Where its limits require it, the stake may be reduced to the largest amount that fits, and the rest stays in the pot.
- Results, voids and pushes are decided by Overtime, not by us. Where it voids a leg, its rules apply.
- Scores and progress shown while a game is on come from a third-party data provider, may lag, and may be wrong. They are for interest only and never decide a result.
6. Winnings and payouts
When a slip wins, the group admin collects the winnings into the pot and pays the group. The stake goes back to whoever funded it and the profit is split evenly among everyone who had a pick on the slip. Any fee that applies to your group is shown on the payout before it goes out, so you always see the amount before it comes off, and we may change or remove fees at any time. You are responsible for any tax you owe on your winnings, and we do not give tax advice.
7. Groups and admins
Whoever creates a group controls its pot and its settings, can send slips, can remove members, and can hand the pot back to the group. Anyone with a group's invite link can join it, so treat that link with care. If you fall out with your group, that is between you: we do not adjudicate disputes between members and we cannot take money from one member and give it to another.
8. Risk
Betting loses money more often than it makes money, and a parlay loses more often still. Never stake money you need. Nothing in WeBet is advice or a prediction, and no odds, projection, progress bar or scoreboard should be read as a recommendation. On top of the betting risk you take the risk that a blockchain, a wallet provider, a payment provider or Overtime fails, is exploited, changes its rules, or becomes unavailable, in which case your money or your bet may be lost or stuck and there may be nothing we can do.
If betting stops being fun, stop. Free, confidential help is available wherever you are, including at gamblingtherapy.org. Ask us and we will close your account.
9. What you must not do
- Use WeBet where it is not lawful for you, or help anyone else to.
- Use it to launder money, to move money for someone else, or to evade sanctions or any other law.
- Hold more than one account, or use another person's account or identity.
- Bet on an event you can influence, or use inside information about it.
- Scrape, attack, overload or reverse engineer the service, or break into any part of it that is not yours.
- Use it on behalf of a business, or resell access to it.
10. The service as it is
WeBet is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, that a slip will be accepted, that prices shown will be the prices you get, that notifications will arrive, or that data shown will be accurate. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we may close accounts, at any time. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
11. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost bets, lost winnings, lost profits, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees we have actually earned from your activity in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. You agree to cover us against claims arising from your use of WeBet in breach of these terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you and we each consent to that venue. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and we will tell you in the app or by email if the change matters to you. Continuing to use WeBet after a change means you accept it.
14. Contact
Email support@webet.cash and a person will read it. If you need a postal address to serve a formal notice, ask and we will give you one.
